Usage
When you want to run, maintain Vow of Piety, Featherfoot Grace, and Vow of Silence. Refresh Featherfoot Grace every two Vow of Silence.
Usually, keep Vow of Silence up all the time, since it keeps Vow of Piety also up.
When fighting, refresh Grenth's Aura every Vow of Silence (for additional AoE life steal). If your energy can't manage it (which should not be the case), you can refresh it only every two Vows of Silence. Spam you adrenal skills.
Place yourself so you can hit the most possible monsters at a time. Grenth's Aura can build up to 75 health per hit. Try to ball mobs in order to do so. (if it's worth the time it takes).
Farming places
Although you can kick in most of the FoW, you will most likely farm there (in Normal Mode) for Obsidian Shards, so you may want to focus on mobs which drop that.
Shadow Army
Shadow Army is hard to do. Shadow Beasts, Elementals and Mesmers are easily taken off, Warriors are harder, and Abyssals are too dangerous because of knockdowns. Also, Monks are really potent healers and difficult to outdamage.
Skeletal Army
Skeletons depend on their teams. Ether Breakers and Icehands are easy to kill, just make sure you use Asuran Scan (against Lightning Touch) and Signet of Mystic Speed (to not get Vow of Silence interrupted).
Main advantage of this build is not suffering from Deep Freeze which gives hard times to many classes. Teams with Skeletal Bersekers and Skeletal Bonds are harder to take off, even though they can be done. Avoid if not experienced.
Forest of the Wailing Lord
Spirit Shepherds' AI will make them ball themselves around you, making them easy to farm. Asuran Scan is mandatory for Forest farming.
Maintain Featherfoot Grace, Vow of Piety and Grenth's Aura, cast Asuran Scan before each Vow of Silence.
The whole Forest is easily farmable without cons with no risk of death whatsoever if you know what you're doing. Remember to enter by the very small entrance north of the Great Battle Field, don't overaggro, beware of Rock Borer Worms and Skeletal Impaler pops. With experience you'll know how to quickly and safely kill every enemy inside the Forest.

Shore and Spider Cave
The Shore is an easy place to clear, but neither Doubter Dryders nor Ancient Skales drop shards. However, Snarling Driftwoods do.
Spiders are a little more dangerous because of their poison and interrupts (but note that they won't use Savage Shot on Signet of Mystic Speed) plus the fact that they don't rely on spells for damage. Try not to aggro too many at a time. More than 3 is usually dangerous, depending on how many mobs you hit.
If you want to clear the cave, you need to proceed slowly, having a defensive bar is recommended. Also, consider avoiding the use of conditions against the Spiders, as it will cause them to cast Melandru's Resilience.
Burning Forest and Lake of Fire
Burning Forest and Lake of Fire are difficult because of Smoke Walkers but they can be managed if one is using Reap Impurities. Make sure to ball the Smoke Walker onto its group, and then spam Aura Slicer and reap until it runs itself out of energy to cast heal area. Even a group of 6 Obsidian Furnace Drakes and 2 Smoke Walkers can be beaten this way only slightly slower than other FoW groups.
Notes
Multiple other skills can be considered depending on whether you intend to farm the whole Fissure of Woe or a specific section (cave, forest...). Look for the skills mentioned as Optionals on the generic bar when refining your build.
Signet of Mystic Speed can be used to have instant recast for Vow of Silence. It prevents Skeletal Ether Breakers, Armored Cave Spiders and Rock Borer Worms from interrupting it (which leads to a certain death).

Exit from Seafarer's Rest into Rhea's Crater and run towards the right path (south-east). Press and hold your "Show Target" hotkey, to find out if there are Afflicted rangers in the group you have to kill. If there are Rangers accompanying Focus of Hanaku, resign and go again.

If you're going solo, pull the Afflicted towards the ress shrine and make sure the Afflicted are fighting the shrine guardians.
Keep VoSilence up while you run past the group, towards the Focus of Hanaku (take the right path, south-east), stop at the stairs.

Pull Focus of Hanaku and his fellow casters further up the stairs. They should be pulled and balled at the start of the final stairs going upwards (see video), so you don't aggro the group on the stairs below. Once you have the melees on you, cast IAU.
When the casters are in position, pull the melees on top of them. Ideally you still have IAU up, if not, make sure to stand still for a second before refreshing VoSilence to prevent getting KDd by the warriors.
Target Focus of Hanaku, and use Crippling Victory followed by Reap Impurities until everything is dead. Keep refreshing Grenth's Aura and VoSilence. Reposition yourself if you are only hitting 1 mob with your attacks. The more mobs you hit (ideally 3), the more adrenaline you gain which results in a faster kill.
If the melees are dead, and the casters are not balled, run back up the stairs and try to ball them on top of eachother to speed up the killing, otherwise it might take a long time depending on the spawns (see video).

Usage
Bring 7 heroes and clear the chamber to unlock the door to the plains.
Use a con that gives a speed boost, such as Birthday Cupcake or Blue Rock Candy, to help you run to the behemoths.
If you can make it through without getting hit by traps, then continue running to the plains. If not, bring your heroes to help you clear them out.
If you don't do it fast enough, you will get hexed before you can activate vos.
Once the Mindblade Spectres spawn from the Banished Dream Rider, aggro them all using your defensive set. You should be taking some damage, but not enough to kill you.
Make sure to bodyblock them to a wall that's on your right side before attacking them or else they will start to scatter.
Kill them using the same attack chain.
Repeat.
Note: During the waves of 6 and 9 Mindblade Spectres, you will take significant damage. Try to aggro and begin attacking them to heal yourself with Grenth's Aura.
Don't attack them if they aren't grouped together yet. If you're close to dying but can't attack, run next to them and use Grenth's Aura to heal yourself quickly.

Usage
The farm takes place in Normal Mode, as Unique Items drop chance is the same in NM and HM.
Now the goal is to repeatedly farm the group to your right. This group will usually have one (or two) Peacekeeper Firebrands, one Peacekeeper Enforcer, and one healer.
Head towards the enemy group then as you're about to enter aggro range, cast Vow of Silence and "I Am Unstoppable!". Target the enemy healer, engage the group by walking counterclockwise until they more or less ball themselves, then attack.
If possible, try to position yourself between the enemy ball and the incoming Shining Blade ally. This will prevent the Peacekeeper Enforcer from moving to attack the ally.
Do not really try to do a perfect ball at all costs, if you can that's great but the presence of a Shining Blade ally and the foes' AI can make balling every foe at the same time somewhat painful. Just target the healer first, interrupting his spells with your two interrupts.
Renew your enchantments, keep attacking, spam Chilling Victory and the group should quickly die.
Rezone through the portal.
Notes
You'll need a few hundred runs before dropping a Firebrand. Know this before comitting to this farm.
Try to keep one of your interrupts ready after the healer's death, as the Peacekeeper Enforcer might cast Death Pact Signet.
If you die, clear your Death Penalty by fighting another of the same group after rezoning or use a small DP-removal cons.
