This build has been designed for the following use:

Lineback casters and create pressure in the process.


  • Seen in GvG as a replacement for normal domination mesmers in some split builds, or as a counter to elementalist-heavy builds such as split.
  • Common in Random Arenas.

Attributes and Skills

You activate Spells and Signets 37% faster. (No effect for non-Mesmer skills with a cast time less than 2 seconds.)
In PvE, the recharge time of your Mesmer Spells is reduced by 30%.

  • Chose an easily linebacked offensive caster.
    • The ideal target are earth magic elementalists as they have expensive spells with long casting times and a fragile energy management.
    • Water magic elementalist are similarly easy to target, but it takes longer to ravage their energy.
    • Other elementalists.
    • Mesmers without Wastrel's Demise using both Diversion and Shame.
  • Apply wastrel's demise and start interrupting your target's skills.
  • Use Drain Enchantment either for removing protection from your target, especially Shielding Hands, or to support your frontline against protection such as Guardian.
  • Save Shatter Enchantment until you can either use it to kill your target or it's called for on a spike.
  • Assist spikes with Wastrel's Demise if your team build features a knock down on spike, such as from Lightning Surge or Devastating Hammer.
