This mesmer replaces regular domination magic mesmers during the Jack of All Trades flux.

Attributes and Skills

You activate Spells and Signets 37% faster. (No effect for non-Mesmer skills with a cast time less than 2 seconds.)
In PvE, the recharge time of your Mesmer Spells is reduced by 30%.

    • Shadow Shroud Shadow Shroud – raise shadow arts to 9 and domination magic to 11, drop the minor rune of domination magic.

Runes and insignia


  • 40/40 domination magic.
  • 40/40 inspiration magic.
  • 40/40 curses if playing Pain of Disenchantment, a swift "Don't Think Twice" staff of defense if playing Shadow Shroud.
  • High energy sets as a backup.
  • Spear of defense, 10%hrt with
    • Strength shield of fortitude, -20% cripple duration.
    • Strength shields of fortitude, +10 armor against each damage type.


  • Use your skills defensively, unless your team can make ground by playing aggressively for a moment:
    • Control hexways by interrupting Migraine.
    • Control hex/condition pressure by interrupting Apply Poison and Signet of Humility.
    • Against the common earth magic elementalists try to complicate both instances of Stoning.
    • Remove attunements from elementalists using Drain Enchantment and Pain of Disenchantment.
  • Assist spikes.
    • Hex monks with Diversion and Shame.
      • If you chose Shadow Shroud as elite skill, focus the fuse and runner with your other hexes and apply the elite hex shortly before the spike.
    • Use pain of disenchantment or Shatter Enchantment to remove Spirit Bond (PvP before or during a spike.
    • Contribue damage with Energy Burn if you brought it over a resurrection.


  • Pain of Disenchantment causes health loss, not damage, and is therefore unaffected by the damage boost from Jack of All Trades.
