This Mesmer uses Power Block to disrupt and disable key skills.


  • Seen commonly in all types of team compositions. Generally interchangeable with Energy Surge mesmers.

You activate Spells and Signets 40% faster. (No effect for non-Mesmer skills with a cast time less than 2 seconds.)
In PvE, the recharge time of your Mesmer Spells is reduced by 33%.

  • Reduce fast casting to 8+1, increase a shield attribute to 7.
  • Use 15/7 shields for the appropriate attribute.
  • Use Resurrection Signet.


  • Power Block foes depending on what the situation calls for.
    • Disable an elementalist when your team needs the defense.
    • Disable a monk when your team tries to score a kill or is not currently under pressure.
  • Complicate skills defensively, preferably Apply Poison. When applicable, use it to take out resurrection skills.
  • Assist spikes.
    • Hex monks in advance with Diversion or Shame.
    • Use Shatter Enchantment to remove Spirit Bond (PvP) before or during a spike.
  • Help your frontline dealing pressure by removing Guardian with Drain Enchantment.
