This build allows you to quickly farm the Oni of Boreas Seabed (explorable area) for Oni Blades, Oni Daggers and lots of Monstrous materials, in Hard Mode. It uses Shadow Arts blocking and blinding skills combined with perma-Weakness courtesy of "You Are All Weaklings!". The mainbar is tailored for maximum safety.

Equipment

• Weapons
  • A staff with highest energy possible (+20) and a mod of Enchanting. This will be your main weapon.
  • A defensive set. This will only be used when running if a Kraken Spawn is aggroed.
• Armor
  • Max armor.
  • Bonelace Insignias.
  • Rune of Superior Vigor and Runes of Vitae.

Usage

Oni farming route.

• Start from Zos Shivros Channel. Avoid all Kraken Spawn during the run.
  • You can use Dark Escape as a mobility tool between groups, just make sure it is available before engaging Onis.
• Follow the path until you reach the point 1 on the map. Onis will spawn at the point, pre-cast Shroud of Distress while approaching.
• As soon as the Oni spawn, cast Mental Block and Feigned Neutrality.
  • Always engage them at full health and energy.
• Wait until all the Onis ball themselves around you in melee, cast Unseen Fury, "You Are All Weaklings!" and Spiteful Spirit (SS).
  • Do not randomly spam Spiteful Spirit !
  • Be careful, you have to ball them so that Spiteful Spirit will damage every foe.
  • If facing three Onis, just wait a few seconds, the Oni group will kill itself.
  • If facing four Onis, one of them will flee. If the Oni initially hexed with SS flees, you'll need to cast a second SS on another Oni as soon as you can . This is absolutely needed, as if the four of them stay alive too long the pressure on you might prove itself overwhelming, leading to an untimely death.
• Wait a bit until the blindness from Unseen Fury is about to run out, then cast Smoke Powder Defense followed by Dark Escape.
  • Make sure Smoke Powder Defense triggers before casting Dark Escape.
  • Cycle all your defensive skills efficiently. Do not spam them !
• Follow the path until you reach the point 2 on the map. Onis will spawn at the point, pre-cast Shroud of Distress while approaching.
  • Repeat the same killing procedure.
• Follow the path until you reach the point 3 on the map. Onis will spawn at the point, pre-cast Shroud of Distress while approaching.
  • Once you reach the point 3, repeat the same killing procedure.
• Wait for the Naga group to go away, then go towards the point 4. Onis will spawn at the point, pre-cast Shroud of Distress while approaching.
  • Repeat the same killing procedure.
• Follow the path until you reach the point 5 on the map. Onis will spawn at the point, pre-cast Shroud of Distress while approaching.
  • Repeat the same killing procedure. This was the last group.

Counters

• Horns of the Ox going through all your blocking skills and interrupting SS. This is incredibly rare and can be countered by popping your Mini-pet (counts as an ally).

Notes

• If a Kraken Spawn is aggroed, know that it will not cast anything on you if you have two thirds or more of your total health. Simply swap to your defensive set, cast Shroud of Distress followed by Dark Escape and Feigned Neutrality, go forward until the Kraken Spawn loses aggro.
• If the Onis are not spawning, just move a bit around the spawn point, they're near.
• Groups of Onis always come with either three or four Oni.
• Be careful not to autoattack when facing Onis, as this could remove Dark Escape and Feigned Neutrality.
• Bring lockpicks ! There are up to five (!) chests that can spawn during your run (with potential Oni weapons inside).
