Slightly more versatile variant to the meta E/Mo prot hero. Different focus, some advantages (weakness, free elite skill slot, can't permanently run out of energy), some disadvantages (can't use infuse health, no passive self healing).

it is definitly a good alternative to E/Mo. But also offers some extra advantages. Aura of Faith or Zealous Benediction are the best options imo

Big prots backed up with necromancer big energy.

Has significantly less downsides than E/Mo in end-game content (doesn't depend on enchantments to maintain energy), while being able to run alternative options (curses) and wide choice of elites.

Downsides is that this build is outclassed by both ST and E/Mo in reality, and really only has a place in an 8-man team scenario with a caster profession as a third backliner in conjunction with an ST and BiP healer. In 4-man areas, there is really never a reason to run this over an E/Mo who can spam both prots and heals better.

I am using this build for years. And I like it. The E/Mo is a bit stronger but when foes strip enchantments this one is much more stable.
