Build:R/Rt Afflicted Farmer

This build for non-Factions characters allows you to safely and reliably solo farm the ~50 Afflicted and Oni of Haiju Lagoon, in Hard Mode, for OS Plagueborn Weapons and OS Oni Blades/Daggers. Those particular Afflicted will spawn only for non-Factions characters, preventing Ritualists from using this build.

Ranger is the profession of choice here because most of the damage you'll take will come from Afflicted Elementalists, having 100 armor against elemental damage will prevent untimely deaths.

This area is special because Afflicted spawning in Haiju Lagoon will never be Monks nor Ritualists, nullifying the usual Ray of Judgment threat for your Spirits and dramatically increasing killing speed since you'll not face any enemy heals.

Monstrous Claws, Eyes and Fangs will drop regularly, and Runes will also often drop in the form of Plagueborn armors.

Equipment

Armor

• Any armor with a +1 Expertise headpiece.
• Stalwart Insignias. Highest vigor Runes.

Weapons

• +60 HP Channeling Staff. Ssyn's Staff is a viable green choice.
• Longbow (for pulling).

Usage

If your character has done or is doing Winds of Change, you'll need the Memories of Purity quest to get the correct spawns in Haiju Lagoon.

Afflicted farming route.

• Start from Zen Daijun.
• Head northwest, following the left side of the map.
  • You'll see many groups of three Afflicted, just make sure to always face them one by one, do not take more than a group at once !
• Before aggroing, cast your Spirits, your Summon and Armor of Unfeeling.
• Either aggro with a regular attack or by casting Painful Bond.
• Manage enemy aggro so the foes target your Spirits or your Summon. Cast Painful Bond multiple times as soon as you can.
• Keep moving towards the Jaya Bluffs portal. See the image for more information.
  • An Oni is located on the southwestern corner. You can easily kill it, do not hesitate to do so.
  • Another Oni is located just east of Miller Quang.

Notes

• Bring Lockpicks, chests in the area can also drop Plagueborn weapons.
• Rezone through the Jaya Bluffs portal if you want.
• The Afflicted required for this farm will spawn only for non-Factions characters.
