Team Usage

Build in use. (old version, same concept)
  • If you are using a PvP character, you will need to release your pet every time you enter the menagerie.
  • You must unlock the pet to access it in the menagerie.
  • Find the pet in the menagerie, the wiki has a map of locations.
  • Kill all nearby same-species pets except the one you're charming.
  • Turn the surviving pet hostile by autoattacking it once. This will ensure it evolves to Hearty.
  • Lock your Me/Mo hero onto the pet. They will follow it around because of Blackout but not actually use it, and can't attack without a weapon. UA will drag your corpse to the pet as it walks around, preventing it from leaving the range where it gains exp from your death.
  • Sac yourself and the BiP hero using BiP until you both reach 1 hp.
  • Make sure recuperation is disabled.
  • Swap to your vampiric weapon. The degeneration will kill you.
  • Go afk.
  • The heroes will automatically res you and follow the pet around, guaranteeing it gets experience.
  • After about 14-15 minutes, the pet should be level 20. It will be Hearty evolution even if it doesn't show it.
  • Charm the animal with the BiP hero.
    • If you brought Charm on yourself for a second pet during each run, micro the hero to use recuperation to avoid dying from degeneration when you get ressed.
  • Show your new level 20 Hearty pet(s) to the Tamer to unlock all evolutions of that pet.

Counters

  • Disconnecting if not noticed within 10 minutes.

Notes

  • It takes 339 deaths of a level 20 character to level a pet from level 5 to level 20.
