Hold and run on runner, unless you need your runner to be able to defend and snare splits. In that case do it on an elementalist.
Push the opposing team away from the flag stand by dominating in the 8v8. If they run a flag, let them suffer with pressure spikes.
Split
Prevent splitting by applying degeneration hexes on people trying to detach themselves from the 8v8.
Defend splits with your runner and/or E/D.
Your elementalists can split offensively when it seems advantageous, i.e. when it allows to catch valuable pit NPCs or you happen to have trouble in the 8v8 situation.
