This build uses the superior sturdiness of the Warrior profession to quickly farm the big Tundra Giant groups of Snake Dance/Dreadnought's Drift in Hard Mode. It plays really smoothly, and as those enemies drop a large amount of Runes this farm becomes very profitable. It is a very "chill" farm especially when using the Solo variant, as you really have the feeling of being alone in a peaceful environment, in the middle of nowhere.
Attributes and Skills[]
Your attack skills gain 16% armor penetration. |
- It is possible to replace
Feel No Pain with
Lion's Comfort . Put a furious mod on your weapon, use Lion's Comfort directly after using Dolyak Signet.
Equipment[]
- Full Knight Insignias
- +5 energy/+7 armor vs physical one-handed weapon
- Shield with a -5/20 and a Fortitude mod
- Longbow (for pulling)
Usage[]
First, you need to run to the farming area (the northern part of Snake Dance). You have two options, either going into a solo run or with heroes assisting you.
Solo Run[]
- Start from Camp Rankor. Bring a Summoning Stone with staying power like the Legionnaire.
- If you see Stone Summit Heretics outside Camp Rankor, rezone.
- Cast Signet of Stamina, begin the run.
- Cycle between "I Am Unstoppable" and Balanced Stance so you're always under anti-kd protection.
- Use Feel No Pain as soon as you see your health begin to drop.
- You should not have any real difficulty to get to the short frozen tunnel, the only real difficulty of the run. Cast your Summoning Stone, if not under any enemy aggro use your longbow to have the group guarding the tunnel charge you (leaving the path open), aggroing the Summon in the process.
- Go through the tunnel. The second part of the run should be easy, if your health gets too low because of multiple Signets of Judgment, wait a little bit for your health to regen. Azure Shadows are easy to outrun.
- There is a Shrine of Resurrection in the northern part of Snake Dance, activate it if you want.
- Once you see the first Tundra Giant groups, aggro 3 or 4 of those groups at the same time and begin the farm.
Team Run with Heroes[]
- Start with your hero team from Deldrimor War Camp and head toward the Snake Dance portal. Any meta team will wreck the Stone Summit groups.
- Once in Snake Dance, cast Signet of Stamina, flag your hero team and begin the run to the farming area.
- Cycle between "I Am Unstoppable" and Balanced Stance so you're always under anti-kd protection.
- Use Feel No Pain as soon as you see your health begin to drop.
- Once you see the first Tundra Giant groups, aggro 3 or more of those groups at the same time and begin the farm.
The Farm[]
- With the Giants attacking you, keep maintaining Dolyak Signet, Ebon Battle Standard of Wisdom and VwK. The Giants will die very quickly.
- Keep heading north, avoiding Mountain Trolls and farming Giant groups in the process. Again, you should easily be able to aggro and tank 3+ groups of Tundra Giants at the same time before killing them.
- In Dreadnought's Drift, when moving a bit forward, a large Giant group will run toward you.
- It is possible to farm this one repeatedly by rezoning (if using heroes, make sure that they do not take any drops by flagging them correctly).
- It is also possible to go south from that portal into Snake Dance again, flagging your heroes near the portal and farming solo the multiple Giant groups that you just faced before during the run (run back to the portal to rezone).
Notes[]
- As the run to the farming location is quite long and your inventory will quickly be filled with Runes, it is strongly advised to bring Merchant Summoning Stones.
- This build also works against the Tusked Howlers/Hunters of the Arkjok Ward, in Hard Mode. As you can use Sprint and aggro multiple groups without the need to ball enemies, it is one of the fastest builds for farming those.
- After some testing, it looks like the Giants damage is physical but is neither Piercing, Blunt nor Slashing. As such -5/20 appears to be the better shield mod, instead of +10 vs X.
- Avoid the bosses near the Dreadnought's Drift portal.
