Fuck pugs, run kath alone without asking retards for help.--Digit0lDigitalfear SigQu33r 15:19, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

But you need retards help to kill mob at the start of level 3, don't you?MinionMinion sig k bish 15:32, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
hmm demonstration is in order. ^^ hint.--Chieftain Alex 15:59, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

Crits does Jesusbeamokay so it must work :< --Chieftain Alex 16:16, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

surely the flame djinn will just consuming flames you for 400 damage?Howe304 16:19, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
I lol'd, also, it'll deal 200 with Dark Escape on...durr--Digit0lDigitalfear SigQu33r 16:19, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
indeed lol. i have attempted to sliver the flame djinn myself when my retarded team wipe at him. sometimes i can get him to 50% hp. i suppose it MIGHT be possible to kill him but i doubt it. btw what is "a safe distance" from the flame djinn?Howe304 16:25, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
Your team? You don't need any assistance which is why this build is different from other kath running builds. Also, best range is maximum sliver ranger obviously.--Digit0lDigitalfear SigQu33r 16:28, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
^ just keep out of touch range and sliver from maximum distance--TahiriVeila 17:43, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
unless im mistaken the flame djinn likes coming to attack you not just standing at maximum sliver range. Howe304 17:11, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Bump[]

^ Me so impatient.--Digit0lDigitalfear SigQu33r 13:51, September 16, 2010 (UTC)

Hero[]

I found it much easier after bringing a hero with Balthazar's Spirit just for clearing the groups at level 3. May be an idea for beginners, and anyone you are running may bring it, meaning you lose no money. NeoBro 17:18, September 20, 2010 (UTC)

Meta[]

This build is frequently seen in doomlore shrime american distrcict 1 why isn't it on meta? Not enough seen to be on? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 2011 88.174.68.5 (talk • contribs) 13:17, 20 January (UTC).

Alright, I guess I'll put the tag on. Thanks. ToraenTheJanitorToraenSig2 20:38, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Daggers[]

I've found that bringing Icy Daggers helps a lot against Ilsundur

Video[]

Can we get a video of this please? Maybe a walkthrough too? Id like to start doing this but I dont know enough about it or anything to do it alone and dont have anyone to teach me. Also I tend to understand what to do better if I see it rather than read it. --Jimmyjam 14:51, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

Yea I have to agree. Quick google comes up with: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTkDIfMOmDQ&feature=related trying to find a better one though. -Monsta 03:57, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, after a bit of searching ive found one or two others, this does seem to be the best. Would be good if someone could record a better quality run and post it though. --Jimmyjam 11:30, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
With the run to the dungeon as well. "run to the dungeon as usual" doesnt help in the slightest. I keep getting killed at the start of the burning forest or just inside it. SF just doesnt last long enough--Jimmyjam 18:09, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
What, have you never done KathSC before? Do that first - helps you learn route to dungeon.
However, follow the walkthrough to getting there that I wrote here: Build:Team_-_Kathandrax_Spearway#Walkthrough (obviously stop following it when it says Zone. -- Chieftain Alex Sig Chieftain Alex 19:17, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
I havent. Been looking at it though and gonna get going on that first before I do solo. I havent really done any SC or much solo farming outside Vaettirs on my ele. Trying to get into it though. Thanks for the link as well. --Jimmyjam 19:20, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Shield mods[]

It says -2 while enchanted and +10 vs Fire, but you cant have both. Does it matter which you take? Or is one better than the other? Also, what should the Shield handle be? +45 while enchanted? --Jimmyjam 20:34, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

Sorry mate, effect of random IP putting stupid equipment templates on basically every farming build - should be +45hp while enchanted. Generally you're going to have 3 shields (only the fire one is essential - can do without the crush one but its nice to have) - A vs crush shield to run past the grawl/stone elementals in sacnoth valley, a fire shield to switch to when you reach the forest and continue using the fire shield til the end of level 2, where you switch to piercing shield for lvl 3. Keep piercing shield up while killing the spiders around the room, then switch to fire shield when dealing with the djinn and keep it equipped for the rest of the dungeon. -- Chieftain Alex Sig Chieftain Alex 20:32, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
I see, thankyou for the clarification :) (Also signing previous comment, forgot to do so before) --Jimmyjam 20:34, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

New build[]

Just an idea you might need to go a/me sooner or later bc of Anet nerfing the djinn glitch. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jon.comgree (talk • contribs) .

Noob Question[]

Say I'm running a group, how do I get them to res back at the final shrine if they die at the beginning? Vincent Evan [Air Henchman] Vincels 03:32, 24 October 2011 (UTC)

Shrine jumping?--Relyk 05:18, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
You mean final shrine on lvl3? You won't spawn there until ilsunder is dead according to this. It talks in notes about it. If you meant after you kill him, then they should spawn at last shrine if you wipe. If before you kill, get to 2nd last shrine, wipe, and run rest of way. The djinns/imps in between the 2 arent that difficult iirc. Roland 07:16, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
Pull djinns and imps into flametraps + then cakewalk party to last shrine from the second last? Chieftain Alex07:56, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
Well, I was doing a guild practice run running this build and where they just leeched. I had them wipe at the first room on the third level while I killed the flame djinn for the boss key and ran the rest of the way to Ilsunder. Before killing him, I killed myself in hopes we'd spawn at the last shrine, however, that did not work and spawned back at the very first shrine. How do I exactly shrine jump a full party of leechers? Vincent Evan [Air Henchman] Vincels 18:31, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
Can't believe this question went soo long w/o being answered. After killing the flame djinn in the 1st room, pull all the aggro to one side. Have leechers run as far as they can towards the next shrine. Follow them and if they die just clean the next shrine and wipe. In the next room do the same pull aggro to one side and have them run again. It's pretty easy.--E.Snow 17:20, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
I learned with experience, but clarification is nonetheless clarification. Thanks Essence. Vincent Evan [Air Henchman] Vincels 17:27, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Run a Ranger too[]

Template code: OgcTcZc8Z6ASnhA6usBS4YmcXEA Need to use alcohol, candy corn, golden eggs, and a grail, but if you charge for runs the cost doesn't matter. You can solo levels 1 and 2 just like an Assassin, but the advantage with a Ranger is you can easily kill off all the mobs at the beginning of level 3 thanks to Whirling Defense. Glitch the Flame Djinn, and if/when you die, it doesn't matter because there is a res shrine. So kill the Djinn with Whirling Defense like a Boss. (Mr Chewy 19:16, 6 March 2012 (UTC))
