This is technically already in the variants of Build:R/A Whirling Defense Farmer which also lists more farming locations. If you want to expand this page for easier copy+paste and searching that's fine but I thought you should be aware. Toraen (talk) 23:53, 12 November 2017 (UTC)

Ah yeah true, I was going to expand on that specific mantid farm specifically showing all the different proffessions that could do it. Since it is on assassin it requires some different things. Like i was going to have multiple build variants under the a/r mantid farming, for the ranger bars i could put those under the r/a whirling farmer though, the page that currently has it for r/a has old out dated ways of doing things that are not needed anymore. Does that sound fine? I was also of thinking of putting a farming guide of every proffession/build for that mantid farm. But never did a guide so was reading some others on here to see what they were like. Shadeinthebox (talk) 09:50, 14 November 2017 (UTC)
If you're still around, I'd like to see that guide, it's a solid farm. Maybe I can help you write it too if you'd like. --DefinitelyNotHanz (talk) 09:50, 30 November 2018 (UTC)

This deals almost no damage with 0 Expertise... This is supposed to be Ranger/A right? or does it work with A/R?--Saxazaxx (talk) 03:51, 23 October 2018 (UTC)

You can use a ranger if you like, but it doesn't change that much. Ranger is about 10 seconds faster. You do not need any expertise, the damage it does is far more than enough to get the job done consistently. 30 things hitting 5 damage a second adds up very fast. R/A Attributes

Couldn't the R/A variant make more use of attribute runes to improve the killing speed a bit? --Krschkr (talk) 12:54, 16 July 2019 (UTC)

yes that is not the proper ranger variant. Shadeinthebox (talk) 15:34, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
Would you let us partake in your exquisite knowledge of the proper ranger variant? --Krschkr (talk) 18:39, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
im sure this one will get the job done perfectly fine without being min maxed Shadeinthebox (talk) 19:06, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
Yes you can go +1+3 in expertise and then subtract 1 from beast mastery and wilderness survival and add +1 runes for each and throw the attribute points into expertise. I figured it would be better this way to show that you don't need all that special armor just to do this farm. You are already doing more damage than the Assassin. I am sure if someone wanted to do it optimally, they could figure it out but it's not really required. Mozo (talk) 22:25, 16 July 2019 (UTC)
I mean optimally you should at least run more expertise of beast mastery. for the best results, you want 10 exp +4, 12 shadow, 7 +3 wilderness and then just 4 beast mastery. the spead of this farm as a ranger comes from whirling not beast mastery, as its the other way around for assassin. all armor would be survivior insignias with those 2 attribute runes, +50 hp, and then +2 energy runes or +hp runes for the rest. Bit offtopic but what about those other mantid farm builds? Are you still interested in posting them? --DefinitelyNotHanz (talk) 12:46, 18 July 2019 (UTC)
