- Man only two Mesmers on Purple Side and in front of Green Gate have feedback. And thats because they have a mashup of retarded skills. And who the fuck cares about Defile enchantments? It only strikes for +18/19/whatever it is. You use one touch and you get your hp back. And, however, every prof that has enchantments that gets those skills will get the epic damage and the uberawesome energy denial of defile and feedback. So, basically, youre saying that an elementalist isnt good in FA because 6 npcs have those amazing skills. Pure genius. ChonsyRulez 16:42, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
- Chill mate, he only said it wasn't worth taking because they pack those skills(+ enchantment removal is very common in FA). He didn't diss the profession. Eles usually pack covers. To me AtB just seems too weak to be worth the slot and the fact that it will be removed semi often, doesn't help Miharo 17:07, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
- I'd prefer Demonic Flesh :D Miharo 17:11, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
- Demonic Flesh would be worth it. You wouldn't use it at Kurzick Mesmers. AtB looks pretty crappy in comparison.--Relyk 18:34, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

- Stripping spell breaker using boss mode? >.> But yeah I could see enchantment removal being useful - allows allies to "spike" (lol fa) stuff too. Chieftain Alex 20:37, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

- Its just nuts to bring something that increases damage you take. Extra 20 damage per necro for a whopping 6 health gain per bite. woo? Plus bringing an enchantment makes you more counterable by the meta mesmers with shatter enchantment (fags). - lol tank green gate NPC's and let people nuke the shit out of them. Also, beats the shit out of prots. Miharo 00:39, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- Goes back to the arguement of if you're enemy is retarded run XXXX. Not a good way to play PvP, which is the reasoning for most of the builds I trash. Any build can beat bad players, that's why posting a single one that does is just dumb. --Silven Shadow 12:36, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- Because prots are bad? Or because tanking the green gate NPCs and balling them for nukes is bad? I'm not following. Miharo 14:28, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- Well EVERY ele build except water builds are fucking dumb and everyone can play them, but theyre still meta. However in Guild Wars meta also refers to the frequency of the build, thats why I say its meta. Theres at least one toucher in every game in FA. And it requires the same skills as an ele, so I dont know why it shouldnt be in meta. ChonsyRulez 16:07, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- If a build has been vetted and it's a frequently-used build, it's meta. It doesn't matter how good it is, and it shouldn't even matter whether it's been vetted or not. However, as a general rule we don't give FA/JQ/RA builds the meta tag unless they're decent enough to be vetted to prevent having to add Wammo's and stuff. Since this has gotten a Good rating and is obviously used a lot (by scrubs), it deserves a meta tag. --Jai. - 16:19, March 18 2012 (UTC)
- the meta-ness will long outlive the flux, probably ♟Fianchetto 19:37, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, but the flux gives this at least an ounce of usefulness. That's the only reason why it's here at all. Once the flux is over, this is undoubtedly going to be archived. --Jai. - 19:44, March 18 2012 (UTC)

- this is a general rule for flux builds? ♟Fianchetto 20:17, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, you've convinced me that it should be meta, but I still do not believe it's a good build. Definately not great. --Silven Shadow 21:22, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
Guys, it's gonna last ~10 more days. Is it really that big of a deal whether it sits in Good or it sits in Trash during that time? People will use it regardless of the outcome. If nothing else, we should be arguing what to do with it after the flux. I'd vote for archive, simply because we've documented short-lived meta's before, such as Doomspike. Such a random build popping out of such a random flux is kinda interesting if you ask me. --Jai. - 12:59, March 19 2012 (UTC)
- I think it shouldnt be archived, because next march it will pop up again. But I recognise it will be just a waste of space for the next year, soooo I have no idea. ChonsyRulez 15:54, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

Making it all year round[]
Touch ranger is a meme build and always was. However it's still played seriously and regularly (yes, in 2020) to this day exclusively in FA, even without the May Flux. Could we revamp and rename this page so it's treated as an all year round build (with mentions of the May Flux, obviously)?
However, it may end like a carbon copy of Archive:R/N Touch Ranger.
Hmm. Tbh those two pages could be merged, as an FA only page with a votewipe?... It's not competitive elsewhere but is still competitive in FA and it's not even the most trollish FA ranger build here (EoE bomber takes the cake!). Feydslynox (talk) 08:32, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- I wouldn't mind an up to date merge + vote wipe. It's definitely still in use. Any other opinions? --Krschkr (talk) 14:08, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
- Yay it's still being played in 2021 ! I think we can safely merge the pages. Feydslynox (talk) 21:19, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
