I for one welcome our new beetle overlords. --DefinitelyNotHanz (talk) 10:27, 21 March 2017 (UTC)

I don't doubt that this works in RA, but it seems like a more powerful build would result from using spear mastery skills that fill roles the BM skills can't (at least Merciless for Deep Wound). A pure beastmaster like this one is essentially just a worse warrior with assist from un-IAS spear autos. A lot of this build's success is probably from people underestimating the pet (especially if someone isn't aware of the beetle's higher attack speed) and wasting anti-physical skills on the ranger. Of course hybrid beast masters have real bad bar decompression issues no matter how you build them. Toraen (talk) 10:23, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
A deep wound or interrupt would be nice but I don't know what to give up :/ Maybe replace Otyugh with an "optional" slot? That's the only non-essential skill I can think of. It's probably not great, but this really is the closest we can get to a build where the pet replaces the player thus taking up the skill bar. What I like about it is that the pet acts similar to a Wastrel's sin thaks to SaO. Jumping to a low health target with SaO + Brutal Strike followed by unbloackable high attack speed on a crippled target can be rather strong. --DefinitelyNotHanz (talk) 19:47, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
Switch Scavenger Strike for Merciless Spear, that's a pretty good spike duo with Brutal Strike. Energy management is not needed for this build. Sure you're drained a bit when you start the combat, but that's not an issue. One 5en skill every 10 seconds is the only recurring drain. Breakpoint shift: drop Exp to 8+1 (no gain from having Exp 10), raise Spear Mastery to 10. --Endrosz74 (talk) 09:07, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
