Constant Captcha

When I'm logged in and editing a page (like a test build on in my User namespace) for every single edit I Save, I'm asked to enter a Captcha. I thought I was a confirmed and registered user. What am I doing wrong? Garmon Sutrix 14:59, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

UserMigration

I am not able to make the UserMigration work, and need some assistance please. The onscreen instructions say:

Please edit your user page on the old wiki, including the following text in your revision comment (without quotes): "8BdavYrygYY=".\n\nYour last edit summary is: "Removing all content from page"

So, below is my text on the old wiki:

and below is my Summary:

The edit summary is at the bottom of the edit window just above "Save page". Type 8BdavYrygYY= in that box. Karate

Thank you KJ; I figured it out by looking at everyone's recent changes. I am still not 100% on what the instructions are trying to convey. Below is what I think its trying to say (The \n\n was probably meant to be two carriage returns):

Please edit your user page on the old wiki, including the following text in your revision summary (without quotes): "TheUsersSpecialCode".

Your last edit comment should be (without quotes): "Removing all content from page."

Content License

The PvXwiki content is licensed CC BY-NC-SA, and this copy/fork should be licensed the same. However, the wiki displays the CC BY-SA license, which is of course not compatible. Is that an oversight, or is it intentional? (And if the latter, is there wiki discussion about this?) --◄mendel► 02:41, 27 November 2010 (UTC)

Reclaiming

When I tried to reclaim my acc it wouldn't give me a code which I had to put in like everyone else would get. Any way of getting contribs and talk/subpages/watchlist back?Falrach 22:07, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

what do you mean it wouldn't give you the code? did it say your account hadn't been reserved, or was there some other reason you didn't get it? ~ PheNaxKian talk 22:15, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

It only said edit your userpage on the other wiki, it didn't say anything else. Falrach 18:21, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

it should give you a little code (for example: '2l32VwRvtR0=' ). You have to copy that code and use it as the edit summary for an edit on your wikia userpage (while logged in and editing the whole page, not just a section) ~ PheNaxKian talk 19:57, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Help forking users

I would appreciate if anyone with free time loaded recent changes on pvx@wikia a couple times per day and kindly invited any users contributing to builds to contribute here instead. A small note on the talk page is often enough - something like this is plenty. Anything to get more traffic, mirite? -Auron 08:05, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

I see ishmael bot spammed a note on all the talk pages at guildwiki@wikia, someone could do the same for pvx@wikia yes?--

Problem migrating account

wasn't sure where else to put this, so i put it here. i've made edits to my old pvx@wikia account twice now, both times using the special code for the edit summary, and still, it's saying 'Your last edit summary was: "(no summary)"'. i've been trying for several days now and this site keeps saying the same thing, each time i press Reclaim Account it just refreshes the page. i've tried simply making a new account using the same name, but it said the name was taken. help? i've done this same method of migration on other sites with no problem67.171.230.252 14:12, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

that's because you've been editing the page of user:PVX_Akbaroth, instead of User:Akbaroth (the account doesn't have the "PVX-" prefix, so you shouldn't edit the page with it =p). ~ PheNaxKian talk 22:56, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
